How safe is an IT job at yahoo search marketing?

How safe is an IT job at yahoo search marketing … I want a job that lasts atleast 5 -6 years coz I need Green Card sponsorship from them. Provided I perform well , but is yahoo a safe bet coz I need to relocate from MO to CA. Please share personal experiences.
